One of the five types

Type: Projector

A Projector has neither a defined Sacral nor a motor connected to the Throat centre. Human Design sees in this type someone who sees people clearly, and how things work, and who gives most by guiding and advising rather than by working the longest. There is no steady reserve of energy for work here, so rest is part of the plan, not a reward.

Strategy

The Projector strategy is to wait for the invitation in the big matters of life: work, relationships, the place you live. An invitation here means recognition. Someone sees what you can do and asks for it, so your advice reaches a person who is ready for it. In small everyday matters the doctrine does not ask for waiting.

Aura

The tradition describes the Projector aura as focused and penetrating. It does not envelop many people at once, it goes deep into one person. That is where the accuracy of your view comes from, and it is also why attention nobody asked for can come across as interfering.

Signature and not-self

The signature is success: a sense that what you see is noticed and put to use. The not-self signal is bitterness. It tends to show up after years of giving advice nobody asked for, or of working beyond your strength to keep pace with those who have a steady reserve of energy.

Authority in this type

emotional

You have a defined Solar Plexus, the centre of emotion, so even when an invitation comes, the doctrine suggests not answering right away. It is worth waiting for the wave to pass through a few states and seeing whether the invitation still looks good. You can also ask the person inviting you for time. Someone who truly sees you will usually agree.

splenic

Your authority is the Spleen: a quick, quiet signal in the moment of the invitation. It speaks once and does not repeat itself. If something in you tightens at once when you are invited, or on the contrary loosens, the doctrine suggests taking that more seriously than all the arguments for and against.

ego

Your authority is the Heart, also called the ego in Human Design. With an invitation the question is: do I feel like it, and do I want to commit to it? The answer can often be heard in what you say spontaneously, before you have time to dress it in nice words. What is in it for you also counts, and the doctrine does not consider that question selfish.

self-projected

Your authority flows from the G, the centre of identity and direction. In practice a decision becomes clear when you talk about it aloud to someone you trust and hear your own voice. It is not about the other person's advice, but about whether what you say sounds like you and leads where you want to go.

mental

In the doctrine this is an authority without a centre in the body, called mental or environmental, because nothing below the Throat is defined. A decision is not born in one place, it ripens in conversation and in surroundings. What serves it is talking it through with different people you trust and checking how it sounds in different places. The listeners are an echo here, not advisers.
